Portraits

Welcome and thank you for choosing Downard Photography, we appreciate your interest in us. We are a small, locally owned business and your portraits have my personal guarantee. I am here to help you preserve precious memories with your portraits. As each family, child, or pet is different, so is each session. We will help coordinate backgrounds with your choice of clothing and use simple props as to not take away from the most important part of the portrait...you. I believe simplicity is often the key to a great portrait.

We create memories at Downard Photography, ones that will last a lifetime and portraits that can be passed down from generation to generation. For children, we recommend early appointments and few outfit changes because their moods can change quickly. For families, we recommend everyone coordinate their clothing and stick to a color scheme, (all light colors or all dark colors, for example). Long sleeves also tend to be more flattering, and darker colors tend to look best, such as navy, brown, green, wine, or black.

We are an all digital studio nestled in the woods just outside of Athens. There is no need to travel for your outdoor portraits, we have a wide variety of outdoor options. We also offer a wide array of digital options, multi-image templates, custom framing and more.
